I went to Cartagena last year and I found it to be so unique. The architecture was stunning and I especially loved the unique door knockers that the colonial structures had. Each one so rich with history and stylish. As I walked through the old city I admired the stunning colors. it was as if I had stepped back into the past. The old colonial city has its charm. The old paved roads, the horses and carriage. If you ever travel I want to recommend that you go to Colombia at some point. Door knockers like these were unlike anything I had ever seen. They originally represented the owners wealth and social status. These are made out of brass or ironI felt that I needed to share these works of art. Never have I been so impressed by the appearance of a door, nor have I ever wanted to use the knocker so eagerly. I hope that you enjoy these photos. Happy travels!
