A Purr-fect Photoshoot: Meet These Adorable Foster Kittens!
Today, I had the absolute joy of photographing the cutest kittens you ever did see! They’re only a few weeks old, and full of curiosity and charm. My sweet friend Kelly is currently fostering this lovable pair—one male and one female—and is hoping to find them their forever homes.
The goal of this shoot was simple: to capture their irresistible charm in hopes of connecting them with loving adopters. The little female even has a unique triangle marking near her nose that makes her especially easy to spot (and love!).
Tips for Photographing Curious Kittens
Photographing tiny, energetic kittens comes with its own unique set of challenges. A safe environment is a must—and having a helper makes all the difference! I couldn’t have done it without Kelly. She helped keep the kittens entertained, stayed out of frame, and made sure no one tumbled off the table. It was equal parts chaos and cuteness, and I loved every second of it.
Styling the Set with Pet-Safe Plants
To create a lush and safe backdrop, I used greenery from the Pet Safe Plant Collection by Verdant Lyfe. All the plants used are non-toxic to animals, which made them the perfect addition to my feline-friendly setup. The collection included:
- A staghorn fern
- Lemon lime prayer plant (My personal favorite right now!)
- Braided money tree
- Pinstripe prayer plant
- Coffee plant
- Lucky jade bonsai tree
- Variegated baby rubber plant
These beautiful plants brought life and color to the shoot—and the kittens loved weaving through the greenery!

Sweet Moments & Big Gratitude
At first, the kittens were a little unsure. But once they were surrounded by plants, their curiosity kicked in and they began to explore. Watching them play and pose was not only a joy, but a reminder of how lucky I am to do what I do. How do I get paid to photograph adorable animals surrounded by beautiful plants? I’m honestly not sure—but I’m incredibly grateful.
These small creative projects make a big impact. If capturing these sweet moments helps even one of these kittens find a forever home, it’s all worth it.
